Broadway

Broadway

Broadway is everything you want from a Cotswold village. In the heart of the Cotswolds this quintessential village is a must see for everyone visiting the Cotswold region. The village has a lot to offer; a highstreet that is lined with beautiful independent shops, luxury hotels, restaurants and is a village steeped in history.

Founded after the Norman Conquest along with 5 other Cotswold towns. Broadway was a busy stagecoach stop route from Worcester to London and was a main road on this route – hence the name “broad way”.

Unmissable on your visit is Broadway Tower, built atop Beacon hill in the 18th Century and set within 50 acres of parkland offering stunning walks and breathtaking views as far as the Welsh mountains to the west and Buckinghamshire to the East. Energetic walks up to the tower are abundant, or a short drive from the town will take you to the top of the hill and the tower. A cafe and gift shop offer refreshments and Cotswold memorabilia

Broadway is a wonderful place to visit at any time of year, whether you’re an avid walker who wants to take on some hikes in the beautiful scenery or if you simply want to cosy up in a pub with a roaring fire, the village has something for everyone.
