Renowned for its beautiful high street with unbroken terraced houses, traditional market centre and bustling restaurants and shops which span many different architectural generations, the market town is very popular with visitors.

As you enter Chipping Campden you will note some of the most magnificent thatched Cotswold cottages. Taking a walk through the high street and surrounding backroads of the village is highly recommended, especially for photography enthusiasts! 

Chipping Campden is a Cotswold market town that profited from the Wool trade back in the 13th century, with many of the buildings from this time still present today. 

Chipping Campden market hall is one of the town’s crowning features, it was built in the 17th century and was constructed to give market traders shelter from bad weather and keep their goods dry undercover.

Parking in Chipping Campden

There are a few free parking options in Chipping Campden. On the weekends and School holidays parking is free in Chipping Campden School on Cider Mill Lane, you will also find free parking along the high street. Walkers are encouraged to use free parking on Back Ends. 

There is a small short stay pay and display car park in the Market Square.

Public toilets in Chipping Campden

There are free public toilets on Sheep Street open 8am -7pm in the summer and 8am – 6pm in the winter. They have disabled and baby changing facilities.
