Moreton-in-Marsh
Moreton-in-Marsh is a market town in the north Cotswolds perched on the Fosse Way. It’s the perfect country escape for those looking to get out of London or travelling in from the east for the weekend with a direct rail service from London Paddington.
Moreton-in-Marsh dates back over 1000 years to the Saxon era. Its broad high street is lined with honey-coloured elegant 17th and 18th-century buildings.
Moreton-in-Marsh has been a market town since the 13th century and the tradition is still alive and kicking. It is currently home to the largest open-air street market in the Cotswolds every Tuesday. The Moreton Agricultural Show happens every year on the first weekend of September, although the 2020 event has sadly been cancelled due to CoronaVirus.
