Situated in North Oxfordshire and at the southern gateway of the Cotswolds is beautiful Burford. The famous highstreet heads down towards the river Windrush which is home to a three arched bridge.

Burford has a rich history that dates back to Anglo-Saxon times, it began as an agricultural village and in the early 12th century it gained its market charter. Soon after this, the population grew in size and received town status. The town is home to many medieval churches, with the most famous being St John the Baptist. It still holds onto some of its historic traditions like the Leveller’s day which includes a reconstruction to commemorate the end to the martyrs in the English Civil War as well as an annual festival

Burford attracts visitors from all over the world who flock to see the iconic Georgian, Tudor and historic stone properties. The highstreet is set on an iconic hill lined with shops and restaurants.

The perfect destination for those who want to sightsee and explore quatint side streets to find their history but also those who love to browse independent and antique shops and enjoy a lazy afternoon tea. The town boasts many lovely shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
